October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month. Last week, staff and residents at Williamsburg Health and Rehabilitation Center had their “pinked out” day. This event is dedicated to raising awareness with an informational booth, pink attire, and of course pink cupcakes & punch. Everyone is hopeful for a cure for this awful disease.

Since it’s football season, Williamsburg Health and Rehabilitation Center decided to throw their own tailgate. Staff and residents enjoyed lots of snacks, laughs, and good company. While some have differing opinions when it comes to sports teams, the majority of the hearts bleed blue. GO UK!
September is the month Williamsburg Health and Rehabilitation Center celebrates their wonderful Environmental Services Department. Staff and residents appreciate this group for working hard to keep the facility clean and beautiful. They do an excellent job.
Williamsburg Health and Rehabilitation Center had their annual Alzheimer’s Memory Garden Walk and planted flowers in honor of World Alzheimer’s Awareness Day. Everyone hopes there comes a day that there can be a cure for this disease so that no one else and their loved ones have to go through it.
September 18 was National Cheeseburger day, so of course residents and staff at Williamsburg Health and Rehabilitation Center participated. They celebrated with some delicious burgers and beans.
This week was National Rehabilitation Week and staff at Williamsburg Health and Rehabilitation Center celebrated their wonderful therapists. They played a couple of games that consisted of guessing which baby picture belonged to which therapist and answering trivia questions about them. The residents had a blast and enjoyed hearing about the therapists most embarrassing moments.…
Williamsburg’s annual Old Fashioned Days celebration has become a tradition for the residents and staff. It’s always wonderful to get out in the community and see the beautiful downtown. Many of the residents were born and raised in Williamsburg and love to reminisce about days gone by. Everyone always has a wonderful time.
