Therapy Awareness Week at Williamsburg Health and Rehabilitation Center was a hit! We’re so thankful for our fantastic Therapy Department!
To celebrate the week, our residents enjoyed several exciting days of Olympic Games. We had a little something for everyone.
Residents and staff at Williamsburg HRC played trivia, won door prizes, received gold medals and award certificates, and had a great time at the vintage car show!
We want to thank everyone who made this week possible. We appreciate each member of our Therapy Team and the work they do to improve the lives of our residents and their families!
Therapy Awareness Week was established by Healthcare Therapy Services, Inc. (HTS). This organization was formed in response to a long term care market in need. Because of a ruling that was passed in the 1980s, all long-term care providers were required to provide rehab services. However, many rural providers didn’t receive therapy services unless they were located close in proximity to a hospital rehabilitation. HTS advocates for those who require therapeutic intervention–physical, occupational, or speech–so they can maximize their independence, reach their goals, and enhance their quality of life.
Williamsburg Health and Rehabilitation Center is located in Southeastern Kentucky, near the beautiful University of the Cumberlands campus. We provide many services including 24-hour nursing, physicians, radiology, laboratory, and pharmacy services. We also provide physical, occupational, and speech therapy.
